Project overview
RopasBoom needed product data imported into its store. Entering products by hand is slow, repetitive, and error-prone, and it does not scale when catalogs grow or supplier data changes. The project called for importing products via Python: an automated process that takes product data from an external source and brings it into the store cleanly and repeatably.

The Challenge: Supplier Data Is Rarely Store-Ready
Product feeds and spreadsheets usually arrive in the supplier’s format, not the store’s. Names, descriptions, prices, images, variants, and stock levels all need mapping to the store’s fields, and inconsistent or missing values can break an import or create messy listings. Doing that by hand for a large catalog wastes hours and still leaves errors behind.

Python Product Import Solution
We built a Python-based import process that reads the product data, cleans and maps each field to the store’s structure, and creates or updates products with their images, variants, and stock information. The import handles mismatched or missing values gracefully, logs problems for review, and can be re-run whenever the source data changes. The work was delivered through our custom development services, built around the store’s actual catalog and data format.

Results: A Repeatable, Reliable Import
Product imports now run as a repeatable process instead of a manual chore. The catalog stays consistent, errors are logged rather than silently published, and updating products takes a fraction of the time. The store can grow its catalog without growing the manual workload.
