The Challenge: Bulky Items Do Not Fit Flat-Rate Shipping
Vanity stations and mirrors are bulky, heavy, and fragile. A single flat shipping rate either overcharges customers on small items or undercharges on large ones, and neither outcome is good for the business. Standard shipping options also do not reflect the handling that large, fragile items need, which leaves customers unsure what to expect at checkout and the store absorbing costs it did not plan for.

Custom Shipping Plugin Solution
We developed a custom WooCommerce shipping plugin that calculates shipping from the actual items in the cart, taking size and weight into account so rates reflect what is being shipped. The plugin presents the appropriate delivery options at checkout and keeps the logic in one maintainable place, so rates and rules can be adjusted from the admin as the product range changes.

Results: Shipping That Matches the Products
Customers now see shipping that makes sense for the items they are buying, instead of a one-size rate that fits nothing well. Checkout is clearer, and the store is no longer caught between overcharging and absorbing costs on bulky orders. The shipping setup grows with the catalog instead of fighting it.
